"Out of Line" Ceramic Sculpture Grouping w/Synthetic Gems won "Best Wit II" at the current show at DeBlois Gallery, Newport, RI of the same theme & title.  The show runs 'til 3/23/12.  The 1st pic clearly shows that the red show girl w/her leg out instead of up is 'out of line' w/the other dancers in the chorus line.  The 5 figures come seperate from the slots in the bases, making transport safer & easier.   Visit DeBlois Gallery at 138 Bellevue Ave, Newport, RI, Tues-Sun 12-5pm.

Opening 3/8, "The Sorceress" Accepted in Museum Show

"The Sorceress"  Pit fired sculpture.  My 1 submission was selected for inclusion in a juried show in honor of  Woman's History Month by the Warwick Art Museum titled "RI Women's Art Exhibition."  The show's opening is Thursday 3/8/12, 7-pm and runs through 4/4/12.  Link to Museum included (warwickmuseum.org),

3 Sculptures Accepted in Juried Show

All 3 of my submissions were accepted in The Bristol Art Museum's "2012 Juried Members Show" which ends 3/23/12.  The pit fired sculptures from my Architecture Series were Urban Memories II (UL), Urban Desolation II (LL) & Femme de la Faucet (UR).  The last photo shows both Urban Bldgs fresh from the pit before cleaning & waxing.  The Faucet pic is also pre-finishing.  The backside of it is an urban bldg w/many small windows.  The non-porportioned woman on the front pouring out of the faucet sitting on the bldg's roof is the same height as the bldg itself.  Urban Desolation II was finished w/the addition of copper wire work.
